Village of Tuxedo Park- Clerk-Treasurer
The Village of Tuxedo Park in southern Orange County is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Village Clerk-Treasurer.
The Village Clerk-Treasurer is designated as the Records Management Officer and is the Clerk of the Board of Trustees. The Village Clerk-Treasurer is responsible for duties relating to the Clerk, such as maintaining custody of the village seal, books, records and papers and maintaining a record of all village resolutions and local laws. The Village Clerk-Treasurer also posts public notices and files new laws with the NYS Secretary of State. In addition to this the Village Clerk-Treasurer is the tax collector for the village.
The Village Clerk-Treasurer is also responsible for a variety of duties relating to the treasury function whose basic responsibilities include accounting, assisting in annual budget preparation, bank deposits, signing of checks, payments of bills, all aspects of payroll, including retirement reporting, bank reconciliations and coordination with outside professionals, such as the auditors.
Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
